Color Illustrations; This book is in Very Good condition. This is the First Edition of the Scribners Classic Edition, and the first Book in the Scribners Classic series. The book and its contents are in generally clean, bright condition. There is some light rubbing, bumping and fading to the edges of the spine ends and corners of the book covers. The spine has some light dipping to the cloth. The front cover pictorial pastedown has some scratching, especially to the edges. The text pages are generally clean and bright. There is tidemarking to the bottom edgesof the text pages, with some of it travelling up the bottom spine. This copy includes 8 full page, full color illustrations with tissue guards by Maxfield Parrish. Condition). "Field first started publishing poetry in 1879, when his poem "Christmas Treasures" appeared in A Little Book of Western Verse.
