This book is in Very Good to Near Very Good+ condition and has a Very Good- to Near Very Good dust jacket. The book and its contents are in generally clean condition. The text pages are clean, but noticeably toned due to the acid content of the paper. The dust jacket is mostly clean and bright, but has several small edge nicks, tears and rubbed spots, along with chipping to the spine ends. There is a previous owner's bookplate on the front pastedown page. "Ketti Frings (28 February 1909 11 February 1981) was an American author, playwright, and screenwriter who won a Pulitzer Prize in 1958...In 1941 her novel Hold Back the Dawn was adapted for the screen. The resulting movie was directed by Mitchell Leisen and starred Olivia de Havilland and Charles Boyer. She wrote her first Broadway play, Mr. Sycamore, in 1942. The play featured Lillian Gish and Stuart Erwin in the lead roles."
