Color Illustrations; Spine ends & corners of book covers have a bit of light bumping and rubbing. Illustrated, coated paper covered boards have white lettering to front cover and spine of book. Both top and bottom spine ends have some light, but noticeable rubbing and beginning nicking. Text pages are clean & bright. Spine ends & corners of dust jacket have a bit of light bumping & rubbing. Dust jacket has several medium sized edge tears, some small edge nicks and beginning tears and one three-inch long semi-closed tear to bottom rear edge of dust jacket, along with some rubbing and beginning color loss to black paper of dust jacket. Overall, a very good copy. "In this lovely book, lyric prose and magificent oil paintings combine to celebrate the pageant of the seasons. It is autumn; the pear tree in Grandfather's orchard has been stripped of its fruit and its branches are bare."
