B&W Illustrations; This edition is an oversized paperback. The spine ends and corners of the book covers have a bit of light bumping and rubbing. The t op front spine joint has a very small edge tear - with an associated wrinkle to the top front edge of the book cover. The top spine end of the book cover has one small triangular chip of color missing (though not the paper). This copy includes a circular map of dates and titles of the tv show attached to the front cover -- you turn the wheel and pick the episode you're looking for and it gives you the star date and the page for the reference information. The text pages are clean and bright. The top and front edges of the text block have a bit of yellowing to the paper and some lightly ground-in dirt. "About midway through the first season of Star Trek, I noticed that Dorothy Jones, a fellow fan, was making extensive notes on the show, with cross-references to items and things mentioned, lists of who played what part, and so on. It seemed too interesting merely to keep in a file box, so I suggested that we share it with other fans. Dorothy had no experience with amateur fan publishing, or interest in putting everything in order to get it into print, but she gave me her notes with permission to use whatever I could get out of them."
