B&W Photographs; Spine ends & corners of book covers have a bit of very light bumping and rubbing. Black paper covered boards have a black cloth spine with gilt lettering. Covers of book have some light spots of dirt. There is some light water spotting to the bottom spine end of the book cover (mostly noticeable as some lightening to the cloth spine end). Text pages clean & bright. Endpapers are a solid white color. Previous owner's name and address are neatly inked on the top corner of the front endpaper. Spine ends of dust jacket have a bit of bumping and rubbing. There are several small edge tears to dust jacket and several chips missing from the top front edge of dust jacket. Several of the edge tears are over an inch in length. Overall, a very good copy. There is a slight rearward slant to the spine of the book from being read. Covers of book have a bit of rubbing / beginning loss of color to the front cover. Text pages clean & bright. Endpapers are a solid white color. A previous owner has taped in a newspaper clipping with a history of the last ten popes -- can be removed without too much difficulty. Spine ends of dust jacket have a bit of bumping and rubbing. There are several small edge tears / nicks to the dust jacket. The spine of the dust jacket has some beginning toning / yellowing. Overall, a very good+ copy.
