B&W Illustrations; Young Adult Fiction. Spine ends & corners of book covers have a bit of light bumping and rubbing. Text pages clean & bright. Spine ends & corners of dust jacket have a bit of very light bumping. Blue paper covered boards have white and dark blue lettering to the spine of the book. The text pages are clean and bright. Endpapers are fully illustrated. Spine ends & corners of dust jacket have a bit of light bumping & rubbing. There are several small edge tears to dust jacket, most of which are semi-closed. There is one two inch long edge tear to bottom front edge of dust jacket that has a bit of edge wear & wrinkling. The spine joints have some light, but noticeable rubbing, as do the flap joints. Overall, a very good+ copy. "The big day in Mike's life has been promised him. He has been chosen out of the group of seven astronauts of Project Quicksilver to be the first man to orbit the Earth in a space capsule. All but one of the other astronauts is as happy about the choice as Mike is."
