This book is in Near Fine condition and has a Very Good to Very Good+ dust jacket. The book and its contents are in clean, bright condition. The text pages are clean and bright. Both front and rear endpapers have some toning / fading to the color of the paper by the hinges. The dust jacket has a couple of nicks and some light edge wear. The bottom rear edge of the dust jacket has one inch long wrinkled tear which has been taped over on the reverse by a previous owner. The reverse of the joints (spine and flap) have been carefully taped by the previous owner as well. "Bear Island is lonely, desolate, and bathed in Arctic darkness most of the year - an eerie and uncanny setting for a group of men and women who become caught in a web of violence."

The dust jakcet is clean and bright with the exception of some beginning ground-in dirt to the front and rear covers and several tiny nicks (not yet tears) to the spine ends, and one tiny nick to the bottom rear edge of the dust jacket.
