Color Illustrations; Possible First Edition, but unable to verify edition due to publisher's lack of information. There is a list of gallery exhibition dates for the collection of paintings which lists through1989, but the exhibitions are generally set up well in advance. Spine ends & corners of book covers have a bit of light bumping and rubbing. Dark orange cloth covered boards with gilt lettering to spine and front cover of book. Text pages clean & bright. Spine ends & corners of dust jacket have a bit of light bumping & rubbing. Reverse of dust jacket has a very small patch of spotting to bottom spine end and front flap hinge. There is a bit of very beginning sunning to spine of dust jacket. Overall, a very good copy. --...Brings to public view for the first time a significant new body of work by one of America's best-known painters, and, moreover, represents a fascinating look at the working methods of an artist in a fresh phase of his career.
