Spine ends & corners of book covers have a bit of light bumping and rubbing. Lettering on spine of book has faded a bit. Text pages clean & bright. There are two sets of pencilled notations on front endpaper (two quick lines) and no marking to text pages at all. Overall, a very good copy. --The United States Navy is a singularly American institution. Your Navy was established by the First Continental Congress and is older than the Declaration of Independence. Our first Naval officers were merchant masters and mates. These men had been trained in American built, American manned and American owned ships. Nor had any of these first officers seen service in other navies.
