Color Illustrations; Children's Book. This book is in Near Fine condition and has a Very Good- dust jacket. The book and its contents are in clean, bright condition. The text pages are clean and bright. The absorbent white dust jacket has some lightly ground-in dirt and finger marks. The front top edge of the dust jacket has a mostly -closed four inch long edge tear starting by front spine joint. "Dogs were smarter there, chickens laid prettier brown eggs, wildflowers grew taller and thicker, and the people knew how to bake the best chocolate cakes and make the best toys in the world. That wonderful town - way back in the Texas hills- is vividly and affectionately brought to life by Byrd Baylor's text and Ronald Himler's glowing pictures."
