Grissom, Betty and Henry Still STARFALL New York Thomas Y. Crowell 1974 0690004737 / 9780690004731 1st Edition; 1st Printing Hardcover Very Good in Very Good dust jacket Signed by Author B&W Photographs; SIGNED EDITION. The book and its contents are in Very Good condition with a Very Good dust jacket. There is a light crease / bump to the top inside front corner of the book with a smaller, matching crease / bump to the top rear corner. The edges of the text block have some light toning. The text pages are clean and bright. The dust jacket has several tears, rubbed spots and chips missing to the spine ends and corners. This copy has been signed by the author Betty Grissom, and her two sons (Scott & Mark) on the front endpaper. Betty Grissom is the widow of Gus Grissom, who was scheduled to be the first man on the moon, and instead became a victim of a flash fire in the Apollo Command module. It is exceedingly rare to find the signature of all three members of the Grissom family. "In this compelling personal account, Betty Grissom and Henry Still chart the progress of the space program from a unique vantage point and take it from its first faltering steps to the successful Apollo moonshots, as seen through the eyes of those most intimately involved with it. Running parallel to this is Betty's progression from a small-town Indiana girl who married her high-school sweetheart to the plaintiff in a ten million damage suit against North American Rockwell , builders of the Apollo Spacecraft."; Signed by Author Price:
