Allen B&W Illustrations; Children's Book. Spine ends & corners of book cover have extremely light bumping & rubbing. Light pink, almost lavender paper covered boards have black lettering to the spine of the book. The text pages are clean and bright. Endpapers are a solid bright white color. =Spine ends & corners of dust jacket have a bit of very light bumping & rubbing There is one small semi-closed edge tear to the top front edge of the dust jacket, right by two small rectangles of shadowing where a price sticker was removed. There is a two inch long semi-closed tear to the bottom front spine joint of the dust jacket as well. The edges of the dust jacket (the flap edges mostly), have a bit of rubbing and dirt. Overall, a nice bright copy. "In the year of our Lord 1874, while a lad of eighteen, I Roger Ward, shipped as a raw hand aboard the whaling ship Halo.
