This book is in Fine condition and has a Very Good dust jacket. The book and its contents are in clean, bright condition. The text pages are clean and bright. The dust jacket has noticable, generalized rubbing, several small to medium sized edge tears, a couple of nicks to the rear flap joint and some beginning spots of ground-in dirt. "Originally published as an anonymous work in 1784, Italian Letters, or, The History of the Count de St. Julian is William Godwin's only epistolary novel. Assumed to be lost for the last hundred and fifty years, its republication has been made possible by Burton R. Pollin's discovery of a single copy in the Bristol University Library."
