Macgill-Callahan, Sheila AND STILL THE TURTLE WATCHED New York Dial Books for Young Readers 1991 0803709323 / 9780803709324 1st Edition; 1st Printing Hardcover Near Fine in Very Good dust jacket Illustrated by Barry Moser Color Illustrations; Children's Book. Spine ends & corners of book cover have extremely light bumping & rubbing. Illustrated, laminated paper covered boards have red and white lettering to front cover and spine of book. Sturdy reinforced library binding (but not ex library copy) . Text pages are clean & bright. Previous owner's inked name and a memorial donation bookplate on front endpaper. Spine ends & corners of dust jacket have a bit of light bumping & rubbing along with several edge tears. Unfortunately, the previous owner, while trying to be helpful, used clear tape to hold down tears -- the tape is not removeable without damaging the dust jacket. There is also a small glittery sticker of a frog (partly removed with color loss to dust jacket) at top front corner of dust jacket. There is another smallish spot of color lifted by title on front dust jacket cover. Overall, a nice bright copy with the majority of wear to the dust jacket. "Long aog, an old man and his grandson stood beside a large rock overlooking a river. There, the old man said, he would carve a turtle out of the rock. The turtle would become the eyes of Manitou and would watch over the Delaware People." Price:
