Cover Art; This book is in Fine condition and has a Very Good+ dust jacket. The book and its contents are in clean, bright condition. The text pages are clean and bright. The top spine end of the dust jacket has some edge wear, nicking, beginning edge tears and some beginning chipping. There is a small semi-circular chip missing from the top front flap of the dust jacket along with a couple of light scratches to the spine. The rear cover and flaps of the dust jacket have some light toning. Included in the collection are: Kiss Me Again, Stranger, The Birds, The Little Photographer, Monte Verita, The Apple Tree, The Old Man, The Split Second, and, No Motive. The Birds was the basis for the Alfred Hitchcock movie starring Tippi Hedren, Rod Taylor, Jessica Tandy and Suzanne Pleshette. Illustrated pages (chapter headings) by Margot Tomes.

This book is in Very Good+ to Near Fine - condition and has a Very Good+ to Near Fine - dust jacket. The book and its contents are in clean, bright condition. The text pages are clean and bright. The bottom edge of the text block has purple remainder speckling. (If not for this, the book would be in Fine condition). The dust jacket has a couple of beginning edge nicks and some light edge wear and rubbing to the spine ends and corners. The bottom rear flap joint has a very small crack (not torn). "All I really wanted to do was to write, and to write a noel set in my beloved Cornwall - The words are Daphne du Maurier's, and the novel was Rebecca, perhaps the most famous Gothic suspense thriller ever published. Reproduced here for the first time is the journal Dame Daphne kept while planning Rebecca."
