Spine ends & corners of book covers have a bit of light bumping and rubbing. Orange paper covered boards with rust colored cloth spine and black lettering. Spine ends and corners of book cover have some light, but noticeable bumping and nicking. The ext pages clean are bright. Spine ends & corners of dust jacket have a bit of light bumping, rubbing & edge wear. Top spine end of dust jacket has several small nicks and beginning edge tears along with some rubbing and edge wear. Dust jacket has some generalized rubbing. Rear dust jacket flap has one small triangular tear right to the flap hinge. Overall, a very good copy. "Thousands of young Americans fought in Vietnam with little knowledge of the reasons why. Even greater numbers protested against the war and had less understanding of common dilemmas which confounded the experts. The combat areas were saturated with newsmen and the Vietnam war turned out to be one of the best documented and least comprehended wars in our history."
