SIGNED EDITION. This book is in Near Fine condition and has a Very Good+ dust jacket. The book and its contents are in clean, bright condition. The text pages are clean and bright. There is some fading / toning to the olive green endpapers. This copy has been signed in blue ink on the title page by author Dickey. The dust jacket has some edge wear, nicking and rubbing to the spine ends, corners and flap joints. There are a couple of beginning edge tears. This book was made into a major motion picture featuring Jon Voight and Burt Reynolds. Dickey himself had a cameo part in the movie as a sherriff. "Four men embark on a three-day canoe trip down a particularly wild section of a river in the heartland of today's South. They are, with one exception, seemingly average suburban Americans: a mutual funds salesman, a supervisor in a soft-drink company, and a successful art director in a consulting firm who is the story's narrator.
