B&W Photographs; The spine ends and corners of the book covers have extremely light bumping and rubbing. Yellow / Green silk covered boards have white and black lettering to the front cover and spine of the book. The text pages are clean and bright. Endpapers are a deep chocolate brown color. The spine ends and corners of the dust jacket have a bit of light bumping and rubbing. Dust jacket has been price clipped.The top and bottom spine ends of the dust jacket have some light nicking and wear. This copy does NOT include the slipcase which originally came with the volume. Translated by Kazuaki Tanahashi and Roy Maurer Jr, this book was written by Kisshomaru Uyeshiba who was the only son of Morihei Uyeshiba at his request. "This book discribes the art that changed Japan's thinking about self-defense. Aikido enables you to lead the opponent's Ki (spirit-power) and throw him with little effort, sometimes almost without touching him. Aikido is practiced by young and old, men and women."
