The book and its contents are in generally clean, bright condition. The book has a light, but noticeable slant to the spine and the corners, spine ends and edges have some light wear and rubbing / bumping. The text pages are clean and bright. The endpapers do have light tape shadows . The dust jacket has edge wear, nicking, small to smallish edge tears and several chips missing. The white portions of the dust jacket have some toning and darkening / foxing. There are tape shadows / bits of tape to both front and rear covers and flap edges. There are several edge tears to the dust jacket, mostly to the spine ends / joints (the top spine edge tear is about two inches in length, but generally clean. The spine joints of the dust jacket have some lightish, but noticeable rubbing. There is a two+ inch long patch of sunning to the bottom spine end of the dust jacket. Overall, a very good solid early copy with a dust jacket -- this copy can be definitively dated to 1962 (though it states 1954 on the copyright page) by the list of titles listed on the reverse of the title page lists Dr. Seuss's Sleep Book which was published in 1962.
