1 Grumbine, R. Edward GHOST BEARS Exploring the Biodiversity Crisis
Washington D. C. Island Press 1992 155963152X / 9781559631525 1st Edition; 1st Printing Hardcover Near Fine in Near Fine dust jacket
Spine ends & corners of book covers have a bit of light bumping and rubbing. Black paper covered boards have purple gilt lettering to the spine of the book. Text pages are clean & bright. Endpapers are a solid white color. There is a previous owner's inked gift notation on the front endpaper (neatly). Spine ends & corners of dust jacket have a bit of very light bumping & rubbing. Overall, a nice bright copy. "Across the country and around the world, species that once flourished are now seldom seen. The impact of humans on organisms, ecosystems, and the biosphere has reached crisis proportions, but often this crisis is viewed in terms of a single species - the spotted owl, the snail darter - that is being threatened by a specific human action - logging, building. Rarely are the essential links between human values, actions, and management goals that create this tragedy ever examined."
