New York Simon & Schuster 1928 1st American Edition; 1st Printing Very Good- with no dust jacket Illustrated by Kurt Wiese
B&W Illustrations; Children's Book. Spine ends & corners of book covers have a bit of light bumping, rubbing and edge wear. Green cloth covered boards have gilt lettering to spine and a small gilt deer stamped on the front cover of hte book. Spine of book has a noticeable slant and both top and bottom spine ends of book cover have some light wear, rubbing and beginning fraying. Bottom front corner of book cover has a small wrinkle / bump. Top spine end of book cover has a small patch of discoloration / spotting due to beginning mold -- however, the mold has been fully treated. Dust jacket has several small white spots. Text pages are clean & bright. Endpapers are fully illustrated. Rear inside joint has pulled away from the binding at the endpaper and has been professionally repaired. Front endpaper has a small tear at inside joint and has also been professionally repaired. Overall, a very good - copy which actually does look better than it sounds.
