New york Junior Literary Guild 1931 Illustrated Edition Hardcover Very Good+ with no dust jacket Illustrated by Allen Lewis
B&W Illustrations; This book is in Very Good+ condition. There is some toning / darkening to the cloth covers of the book along with some light finger dirt. The text pages are clean and bright, but do have some beginning toning / foxing to the edges of the text pages. There is one smallish edge tear to the top edge of page 5. All edges of the text block have some toning and darkening. Illustrated throughout with engravings on wood by Allen Lewis. "1743 and a fine June morning. Blue water, wind from the southwest, and Marguerite Ledoux taking her last sight of Marblehead as she crouched at the low railing of the Isabella B. Farther astern she could see Amos Hunt, master and owner of the Isabella B., at the tiller, with Joel Sargent and his brother, Ira, handling ropes or helping to stow their goods more compactly."

New York Macmillan Company 1957 4th Printing Hardcover Very Good with no dust jacket Illustrated by Elizabeth Orton Jones
Color Illustrations; Children's Book. Spine ends & corners of book covers have a bit of light bumping and rubbing. Tan cloth covered boards have blue lettering and decoration to the front cover of the book. There is a very small nick / tear to the top front spine end (and another even smaller to the bottom front spine end) which has just begun to fray. The front cover of the book has several small spots of discoloration which look like coffee spots and there is also some very tiny brown spotting which is actually bug poo (not many spots and very small). Text pages are clean & bright. Endpapers are a solid off-white color. There is a previous owner's inked name and address on the top front endpaper (neatly). Illustrated throughout with full sized, full color illustrations by Elizabeth Orton Jones. Overall, a very good + solid copy. "Bless this milk and bless this bread. Bless this soft and waiting bed Where I presently shall be Wrapped in sweet security. Through the darkness, through the night Let no danger come to fright My sleep till morning once again Beckons at the window pane." This is a Caldecott Award winning book.

New York Doubleday & Company 1958 1st Edition Thus; 1st Printing Hardcover Very Good+ in Very Good dust jacket Illustrated by Adrienne Adams
Color Illustrations; Spine ends & corners of book covers have a bit of light bumping and rubbing. Yellow cloth covered boards have pink lettering to front cover and spine of book. Text pages are clean & bright. Endpapers are illustrated in red and yellow stripes. Illustrations alternate between black and white and full color illustrations. Front pastedown has an ink stamped previous owner's name. Book and text pages are all in very nice clean condition, but feel just a bit less than crisp. Spine ends & corners of dust jacket have some bumping, rubbing and edge wear. Top spine of dust jacket has been completely chipped off (a chunk about an inch in depth and travelling the entire length of the spine ... going a bit farther along the top rear edge. There is also a three inch long semi-closed edge tear to the front dust jacket that starts at the bottom of the chip. Dust jacket spine and flap joints have noticable rubbing. Rear dust jacket has a small semi-closed edge tear to bottom edge and there is noticable rubbing to the rear dust jacket in general. This book contains the Three stories: Polly Patchwork, Pocket-Handkerchief Park, and, The Yellow Shop.
