New york Platt & Munk Company, Inc. 1956 Trade Edition Hardcover Very Good+ in Very Good- dust jacket Illustrated by Holling C. Holling and Lucille Holling
B&W Illustrations; Children's Book. An oversized hardcover book (approximately twelve inches tall by ten inches wide). The book is in Very Good+ condition and has a Very Good- dust jacket. Orange red paper covered boards have black lettering and decorations to the front cover and black lettering to the spine of the book. There are a couple of small spots of discoloration to the front cover of the book. The top spine end of the book cover has a couple of small edge tears, nicks, some edge wear & rubbing and one small chip missing. Illustrated throughout with black and white illustrations by Holling Clancy Holling & Lucille Holling. There are also five full page, full color illustrations as well. The dust jacket has edge wear, nicks, chips several edge tears (including a tear to the top rear edge of the dust jacket starting at the top spine end which is approximately three inches long, a bit edge worn and has torn an additional two inches in another direction). Edges of white dust jacket are noticeably darkened & toned (it appears to be a form of foxing that has darkened the white portions of the dust jacket, making it look like water damage, but it's not). Dust jacket has a price of two dollars and fifty-cents. Includes the stories: Little Folks from the Land of Windmills, Little Folks of the Desert, Little Folks from the Land of the Vikings, Little Folksfrom the Land of the Maple Leaf, Little Folks from the Land of the Sombrero, Little Folks from the Land of Many People, Little Folks from the Far North, Little Folks of the Pueblos, Little Folks without a Country, Little Folks of the Land of the White Elephant, Little Folks from the Land of the Reindeer, and, Little Folks from the South Seas.

New York Platt & Munk Co. Inc. 1933 Trade Edition Hardcover Very Good+ with no dust jacket Illustrated by Lois Lenski & Eulalie
Color Illustrations; Children's Book. A large sized hardcover book (approximately twelve inches tall by ten inches wide). Spine ends & corners of book covers have a bit of light bumping and rubbing. Red cloth covered boards have a full sized pictorial pastedown on the front cover. There is some beginning edge wear and light rubbing / very beginning fraying to the corners of the cover. Pictorial pastedown has one very small, light spot of dirt / discoloration, otherwise it's in very nice clean bright condition. Rear cover has a splotch of discoloration / water towards the top edge. Text pages are clean & bright. There are three or four small edge tears to several text pages (mostly small edge nicks, though there is one tear to the bottom of a text page that is approximately one and a half inches long). Illustrated throughout in both black and white and color, with six full color, full page illustrations. Overall, a very good + copy. Included is an index of the first lines of all the mother goose rhymes.

New York Platt & Munk, Publishers 1938 Trade Edition Hardcover Very Good+ with no dust jacket Illustrated by Eulalie
Color Illustrations; Children's Book. The spine ends and corners of the book covers have a bit of light bumping, rubbing and edge wear. llustrated, coated paper covered boards have a blue cloth spine. The top spine end has some light rubbing, bumping and fraying, while the bottom spine end has some very beginning rubbing and fraying. The corners of the book cover have bumping and some light cracking and paper loss. The text pages are generally clean and bright. Front and rear endpapers are illustrated. Inside joints are beginning to loosen (they are sewn in) and both top and bottom inside joints have beginning cracking / tearing. Previous owner's inked gift notation on front pastedown. Previous owner's bookplate on rear pastedown (an older bookplate with Walt Disney's version of Pinnocchio). Illustrated throughout by Eulalie -- nine full sized, full color plates throughout text plus the frontispiece and a cameo on the title page. Several of the additional black and white illustrations (of which there are many) are by Eulalie also...I would venture a guess that all of the illustrations throughout the book are by Eulalie. There is a bit of general rubbing and wear to covers of book and some light finger grubbies to the text pages, but overall, a very nice clean, bright copy with beautiful, vibrant illustrations. Included are 38 Mother Goose Rhymes.
