Color Illustrations; The book and its contents are in clean condition. White paper covered boards have a black cloth spine with blue gilt lettering. There is some beginning toning and finger dirt to the edges of the book cover. The bottom front corner of the book cover has a small bump and some beginning wear and rubbing to the paper. The endpapers are a solid blue color. The foredges of the front endpaper has started to fade / yellow a bit. The dust jacket is clean and brigh. There is a small piece of tape which has darkened to the top spine end of the dust jacket ( a previous owner was trying to stop a bit of nicking and wear from becoming a tear). There is another tiny tear to the top rear edge of the dust jacket as well. "Hidden away on a cold and icy bay near the South Pole is a colony of madcap penguins. No birdwatcher has ever seen them. No explorer has ever discovered them. Nobody in the world has spent a day with them.
