Orange cloth covered boards with blue gilt lettering and decorations. There is an extremely slight slant to spine of book and very beginning rubbing to bottom corners and spine end of book cover. Text pages clean & bright. Endpapers are illustrated. Overall, a very good copy. --It is a great book to read, by a great writer who also was a painter of magnificent talent. It is a soft and gentle book, perhaps bittersweet, touched with masterful whimsy and edged here and there with an evanescent and most delicate sarcasm.The author, by long experience and tremendous empathy, wrote successfully from the Indian viewpoint--. ; S.
