Author Name Gardner, Erle Stanley Title THE CASE OF THE WORRIED WAITRESS Binding Hardcover Book Condition Very Good+ in Very Good+ dust jacket Edition Reprint Publisher New York Walter Black 1966 Seller ID 16096 Spine ends & corners of book covers have a bit of very light bumping and rubbing. Tan paper covered boards have dark brown lettering to the spine and front cover of the book. Text pages are generally clean & bright. There is one small spot of staining to text pages which starts at front endpaper and soaked through to the first 13 pages of text. It's a small semi-circular spot which looks like it could be coffee. Top edge of book has a bit of light spotting. Spine ends & corners of dust jacket have a bit of light bumping & rubbing. Dust jacket has a couple of very small edge nicks & tears to top spine end and top rear edge of dust jacket along with some minor rubbing to spine joints (rather common on these black dust jackets). This dust jacket appears to have been married to the book as the dust jacket is from Morrow and the book is a Walter Black edition. Overall, a very good+ copy. "It was against the restaurant rules for a waitress to beleaguer customers for advice, but Katherine Ellis was not only young and beautiful, it was obvious that she was deeply worried... So when Perry Mason finished lunch, he left her a note: -My usual fee for an office consultation is ten dollars. The tip under the plate is eleven dollars.- Then he said laughingly to Della that if the girl didn't turn up, the Bar Association would have grounds for accusing him of soliciting business"
