Author Name O'Hara, John Title SERMONS AND SODA-WATER The Girl on the Baggage Truck, Imagine Kissing Pete, and, We're Friends Again Binding Hardcover Book Condition Very Good with no dust jacket Edition 1st Trade Edition; 1st Printing Publisher New York Random House 1960 ISBN Number 0394444809 / 9780394444802 Seller ID 16591 A Boxed set of three hardback books that were issued without dust jackets. Spine ends & corners of book covers have a bit of light bumping and rubbing. There is a bit of very beginning ground-in dirt to covers of books, and some beginning sunning to spine of books. Text pages clean & bright. Top edges of all three books stained a dark blue. Box is in very good condition, with some light rubbing (mostly to bottom rear of box at back edge). Overall, a very good set--nice and solid. There was a limited, signed edition previous to this set. --I am perfectly well aware that each of these three novellas could have been made into a full-length, 350-page-or*more, novel, and since the question is bound to come up, I shall try to answer it in advance: why did I choose the shorter form? The first, and probably the best, answer is that I wrote them this way because I wanted to. It is the answer that other authors will understand--.
