B&W Illustrations; This book is in Very Good- condition and was issued without a dust jacket. Full red leather binding with gilt lettering and decorations to the spine of the book. The corners, edges and spine joints of the book cover have noticeble rubbing and wear. Both front and rear boards have rubbing and scratching. The text pages are generally clean and bright. The free pages have heavy foxing and there is heavy foxing to illustration pages. "The Ladies' Repository was a monthly periodical based in Cincinnati and produced by members of the Methodist Episcopal Church. From 1841 to 1876, the magazine devoted itself to literature, arts and doctrines of Methodism, containing articles, poetry, fictions, engravings, and notes of interest to its readers."
