The spine ends and corners of the book covers have some light bumping and rubbing. The text pages are clean and bright. There is a previous owner's bookplate (Myra Hughes) adhered to the front pastedown. This copy has been signed, with a short inscription, by the author, on the front endpaper. Laid-in is a newspaper article and photo of Humboldt State College professor of industrial arts, and author of this book, R. Horace Jenkins. There is a slightly inky smell to the book. The dust jacket has several small edge nicks and small chips missing to the spine ends and corners. The rear cover has several spots of ground-in dirt and foxing.
