B&W Illustrations; This book is in Very Good+ condition and has a Good+ dust jacket. The book and its contents are in generally clean, bright condition. The tan cloth covers have some light toning to the cover edges and a couple of spots of ground-in dirt, along with some beginning bumping to the corners and spine ends. The text pages are clean and bright. There is a previous owner's bookplate adhered to the front pastedown page. The dust jacket has edge wear, bumping, rubbing, small nicks and tears and several chips missing, including an inch+ chip to the bottom spine end. The rear dust jacket panel has generalized toning. "Frances Frost (August 3, 1905 St. Albans, Vermont February 11, 1959 New York City) was an American poet, novelist and mother of poet Paul Blackburn. Frances Mary Frost attended Middlebury College from 1923 to 1926 and graduated from the University of Vermont in 1931. At Middlebury she joined Delta Delta Delta. She married William Gordon Blackburn of St. Albans, Vermont, on April 4, 1926 and Samuel Gaillard Stoney of Charleston, South Carolina, on September 18, 1933. Her son was Paul Blackburn (U. S. Poet)."
