This book is in Near Fine condition and has a Very Good+ to Near Fine- dust jacket. The book and its contents are in clean, bright condition. The text pages are clean and bright. There is some beginning bumping and nicking to the spine ends and corners of the dust jacket along with a bit of beginning ground-in dirt to the white portions of the dust jacket. "Little Frank, a Frisco Hell's Angel, blows his mind in these taped sessions and it's (unintentionally) a pathetic horror story. Oddly, this seems an entirely different group from Hunter Thompson's misguided, publicity seeking Hell's Angels. The gang bangs are gamier, the fights are dirtier, the boys are filthier and the ""runs"" are out of sight lessons in degeneracy. Frank, as spokesman, tries to explain why it's so ever lovin' wonderful to be a life member of the club and it's a curious, almost funny blend of naive fascism: ""We feel we are a superior race""..." "The Hell's Angels have the instincts of a real human togetherness hornet's nest""... ""All on one and one on all." " Most interesting perhaps is the fact that the Angels are now turning on and a great portion of the book is devoted to Frank's descriptions of his trips on LSD. At one point he sees God and gets religion. But on a later trip he picks up Paradise Lost and after six pages realizes that ""God Almighty is a back-knifing second-rate cherub." "" (Kirkus Reviews)
