B&W Illustrations; This book is in Very Good+ condition and has a Very Good- dust jacket. The book and its contents are in generally clean, bright condition. The spine ends and corners of the book covers have some light bumping. The text pages are clean and bright. The dust jacket has several edge tears, nicks and rubbing to the spine ends and corners. There are five spots of discoloration that hvae bled into the bottom front corner of the front panel. " Allan Wesley Eckert (January 30, 1931 – July 7, 2011) [1] was an American writer who specialized in historical novels for adults and children, and was also a naturalist. His novel Incident at Hawk's Hill was initially marketed to adults and selected by Reader's Digest Condensed Books. A runner-up for the Newbery Medal in 1972, it was afterward marketed as a children's novel and adapted by Disney for a television movie known as The Boy Who Talked to Badgers (1975).
