This is a First Hardback edition, first state, with the character's name as Rigaud (instead of Blandois on pages 469, 470, 472 & 474; with NO ads in the book (either front or rear) and page 371 with signature B2 instead of BB2. The book has illustrated paper covered boards and a leather spine and corners. Both front and rear spine joints have cracked - though both covers are held on to the text block by the strings.
